Too Tired to Cook? Too easy to Order?
To err is human.. Likewise to live is human too. Its a basic right and necessity to live our life. But how many of us actually live our life to the fullest ? There might be 1000s of scenes running in your mind when I say to the "fullest". Life is to live. To live is to stay healthy. And to stay healthy,it is to eat healthy. Globalisation is at its peak, restaurants and apps are just a click away, life has become very easy. Has it really? For most of the workaholic people, these time saver apps are a great blessing. Think again. Is it really a saving? Life is to live. To live healthy is to eat healthy. Very common complaint these days is “there is no time to cook” , in other words,it can be rephrased to “no time to eat healthy“ which implies to “there is no time to live“
There is time for everything, it’s all about how we prioritise. No one can work for 24 hours, even if someone works for 12 hours, there is 12 hours left which can be split into 6 hours for sleep and 6 hours for personal time.
Workaholics think that spending personal time is either a waste of time or they are not loyal to their firm. Infact it not just the workaholic people, any working mother or anyone workings at MNCs think that if you are not workaholic, then you are not working and compromise at eating habits just to ensure and show one’s commitment towards work. Something that everyone forgets is,MNCs are paying salary for you to work effectively and also for living and eating healthy. No organisation has requested to give up on our healthy eating habits.
These days people are not just dying due to Covid, even youngsters are facing heart attack due to stress. Why is that? Our ancestors lived longer even then there was stress to cook for 9+ kids yet they lived longer, what’s happening now? Are we eating healthy ? Are we burning our calories? Again burning our calories doesn’t only mean hitting the gym or going out for jogging, are we atleast active in cooking and doing basic household chores and sweating out? Only if we sweat out , we will feel tired and it will encourage good sleep.
Chocolate cake for breakfast, hot lunch from a random restaurant, noodles for dinner will save your time but will it save your health, will it save your money? These days most of the sectors does not receive a pension,if we can’t cook now,can we cook easily in our old age ,will we have the strength and money for it? I hope this article encourages you to cook and rethink your eating habits, watch what you eat, ordering once in a while for a large gathering is fine , think if it’s necessary to order for even your breakfast/dinner/lunch.
If your fridge is stocked with fresh vegetables, groceries always available and handy, then cooking is not so difficult. With the availability of one click apps even groceries and meat is at the door step which can be cooked and eaten in a healthy way. All it requires is the patience to learn and will power to practice.
To err is human, so far our body may be filled with toxins and junks, let not keep erring.
Life is to live. Live healthy, stay healthy , have a happy life. :)
Simple truth and fact but put up in a very nice way and apt time.

ReplyDeleteNon of the firms or companies demand such a type of work from an individual... its the Indian mentality to survive puts so much of tasks before personal success... in European countries, no one will pick up call after working hours... and an individual can sue the company for spoiling his personal life... but in india, just to gain an edge over his colleagues, people overdo... and thats become a norm...also, Media and social networking are constantly contributing to reducing the happiness quotient of an individual...To summarise, I would say a healthy and happy mind will live longer and make others live longer... a confused and corrupt mind, no matter whatever life thay follow, will have an abrupt ending... live happily and spread happiness...
