When a person dies,
So many good memories gushes back and forth.
Subtle little words that were spoken shivers the throat.
Heart aches for a second chance,
To rewind few hours to express that love that was never expressed.
To spend that time that was spent in excuses.
To fulfil one’s wishes and promises.
If only an irreversible death can bring this change,
We need to wake up to the fact that time is irreversible too.
It’s okay to run behind passion but we must also realise,
All we have is “Now” to show that love and express that compassion.
Tomorrow never comes.
Life is too short for hatred.
Let us spread love and compassion."Now".

Too Tired to Cook? Too easy to Order?
To err is human.. Likewise to live is human too. Its a basic right and necessity to live our life. But how many of us actually live our life to the fullest ? There might be 1000s of scenes running in your mind when I say to the "fullest". Life is to live. To live is to stay healthy. And to stay healthy,it is to eat healthy. Globalisation is at its peak, restaurants and apps are just a click away, life has become very easy. Has it really? For most of the workaholic people, these time saver apps are a great blessing. Think again. Is it really a saving? Life is to live. To live healthy is to eat healthy. Very common complaint these days is “there is no time to cook” , in other words,it can be rephrased to “no time to eat healthy“ which implies to “there is no time to live“
There is time for everything, it’s all about how we prioritise. No one can work for 24 hours, even if someone works for 12 hours, there is 12 hours left which can be split into 6 hours for sleep and 6 hours for personal time.
Workaholics think that spending personal time is either a waste of time or they are not loyal to their firm. Infact it not just the workaholic people, any working mother or anyone workings at MNCs think that if you are not workaholic, then you are not working and compromise at eating habits just to ensure and show one’s commitment towards work. Something that everyone forgets is,MNCs are paying salary for you to work effectively and also for living and eating healthy. No organisation has requested to give up on our healthy eating habits.
These days people are not just dying due to Covid, even youngsters are facing heart attack due to stress. Why is that? Our ancestors lived longer even then there was stress to cook for 9+ kids yet they lived longer, what’s happening now? Are we eating healthy ? Are we burning our calories? Again burning our calories doesn’t only mean hitting the gym or going out for jogging, are we atleast active in cooking and doing basic household chores and sweating out? Only if we sweat out , we will feel tired and it will encourage good sleep.
Chocolate cake for breakfast, hot lunch from a random restaurant, noodles for dinner will save your time but will it save your health, will it save your money? These days most of the sectors does not receive a pension,if we can’t cook now,can we cook easily in our old age ,will we have the strength and money for it? I hope this article encourages you to cook and rethink your eating habits, watch what you eat, ordering once in a while for a large gathering is fine , think if it’s necessary to order for even your breakfast/dinner/lunch.
If your fridge is stocked with fresh vegetables, groceries always available and handy, then cooking is not so difficult. With the availability of one click apps even groceries and meat is at the door step which can be cooked and eaten in a healthy way. All it requires is the patience to learn and will power to practice.
To err is human, so far our body may be filled with toxins and junks, let not keep erring.
Life is to live. Live healthy, stay healthy , have a happy life. :)

Lockdown depression- self retrospective
Happiness is a state of mind. There is no such thing as depression.. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop .. If you are unhappy or upset it simply means that you are jobless. It simply means that you are overthinking and not focusing on things that you can do instead just worrying about things beyond your control.
Do not allow any person or thing to decide your happiness. Because when your happiness is dependent on that , your expectations arises , when it’s not met , it leads to disappointments. Happiness is from within. If you expect from yourself , you can not only perform better , but even capable of consciously not hurting yourself , because you clearly know what you can , what you want , what you accept , what you don’t . When you know yourself that well , nothing can stop you from being happy.
Have a happy life 🙂 It starts from within 💫
Girl Child
Girl Child
The humiliations a girl child’s parents start to face just does not begin after her birth but much earlier when her mother conceived her in her womb. The moment she announces that it’s a “girl”, the society asks- Oh it’s a girl? This is the mindset of most narrow-minded people at least in down south of India. If the baby is a boy, the same society exclaims- Its’ a boy!!
The sorrow of the mother doesn’t end there if she is conceived for the second time with a girl baby again. The questions continue. "Two daughters? No son?"
If you are new to this society, you may not understand the meaning behind “No Son?”. This society believes that only a son in a family makes the family complete. We are at 2019 and if these questions still continue its high time to contemplate about this.
The moment the baby’s first kick is felt in a mother’s womb, she rejoices, she starts living for the life within her, whether she has the maturity to raise a baby or not, a sense of responsibility grows into her veins involuntarily and she starts feeling it- “Sweet my child, I live for you”. This beautiful rush of emotions is questioned by the society, by just one question, "oh it’s a girl?" And the advice continues, "Please start saving from day one." Savings is something mandatory in every adult’s life but it’s an obligation if it’s a girl child.
The mother does her best to provide her daughter the best education she can, despite the same old questions raised to her a hundred and hundreds of times, in simple words, infinite times. Because she is still the same mother who felt joyous in the very first kick of her baby. When her daughter wins prizes and accolades, her joy has no bounds. Only when her daughter excels in her education and finds a reputed job, she breathes, a sigh of relief.
How easy it is for a mother who conceives a boy? The same society questions nothing. Yes, nothing at all. How unfair right? Doesn’t a daughter’s mother also need some silence? Some peace without these questions?
Obviously, there are safety concerns in raising a girl child, but the point here is not even about safety. It is something to do with people’s mindset. There is nothing like a girl child has to be raised for being handed over for a marriage with all riches and and there is nothing like only a boy child will grow into something special and save a family’s honour. Every child is unique, with unique talents and capabilities. When this society starts seeing only that, it will exclaim , “It’s a girl!!” and only that mindset will even make knowing the gender in the womb legal in India.
Until then you & me and can only wish what Tagore said “Where the mind is led forward by thee Into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.” for another 100 years.
What is that they want before they die?
I stepped into a place where I’ve never been before.
I saw an immense silence. Never felt that kind of silence before. Wait, I’m not dead yet. I’ve not entered another world. What’s it then?
People were waiting for someone to whom they can talk. To whom they can say they’re sad.
I heard a bell. It was lunch time. They rushed to the mess hall. And after a small prayer, they had their lunch with the same deep-rooted silence.
They were not test species. They were not cloned. They were normal human beings.
I crossed few steps to take a closer look. Someone came and touched my shoulder from behind and I was chilled. She tried talking as if she recognized me. She couldn’t talk. She was dumb. But I could see the love from her eyes. People always say I resemble someone they knew. Guess she had mistaken me to that someone.
I sat beside a grandma. I asked her how the food tasted. She told me, “I don’t like it. I wanna die soon so that I don’t have to go through any of this.“
I thought she was sick. But I was wrong. She was fit and fine. But wait. Not fit enough to work and earn her meals. Which is why she was kicked out of her house? Her own beloved son whom she spent her entire earnings and savings had abandoned her. Everyone there had their own stories on how they were abandoned and how they ended up there.
There was everything required. Be it food or shelter or clothing. It had all basic necessities for a living. But there was this deep silence attached to it. They missed their families. They missed their love. They called each other brothers and sisters. They knew they never were. They compromised themselves that their families are happy without them.
I asked one of them reluctantly, “Are you not angry on your family?”
“I have loved my son, and I will always. He will come someday and take me back with him. Even a small room in his home will do. I will just play with my grandson and spend the rest of my life”, he said smilingly.
This is the story of every individual there who has died waiting for their special one..

Coz she was 'She'
Her tiny little fingers brought immense happiness and smile
Her parents handled her with gentle touch and pride
All they wanted was just her smile..
Little did she know she would be kidnapped by four
When all she wanted was a chocolate
Little did she know what was happening to her
When all she wanted was her dad's shoulder..
She was not grown up
She was not dressed short
Still,she was made to cry
She did not do any mistake
She did not harm any soul
Still,she was made to bleed
Coz
She was 'she'
"Digital Distraction "-A short story
Once, angels of God, Raphael and Gabriel visited our country for their duty. Raphael was deeply upset.
Gabriel was curious to know the reason.
“Hey! Raphael! What’s up bro! This is the first visit to India.. Why are you not enjoying its beauty?" asked Gabriel.
"My duty was to find people who live in love and harmony with their family and report it to God. But I came to know that I have nothing to do.
There is something called Facebook and WhatsApp which people love more than their family."
"C’mon bro.. I even wanted to use it in heaven so that I can put in my Facebook status on who comes next" giggled Gabriel
Raphael remained silent.
Gabriel hummed and said, "Fine bro. I was just kidding. What’s wrong? What did you see??"
After a pause, “I’ll tell you exactly what I saw. I saw two families. One was Husband-wife and the other one was father-daughter” said Raphael.
“I saw that wife yelling” Raphael continued,
“Raj… Are you there? I am calling out your name.. .. Raaaaj!! What the hell are you doing?? I am cutting vegetables… Why can’t you come and help me.. Am trying to make your favourite dish.. but you are not bothered to help me??? Raaaaaj…!! This is it. I’m gonna come out and see what you are doing that busily. “
“I saw her yelling from kitchen. She was wearing some kind of glass bangles. I do not know what it signifies in Indian culture. But I felt pity for her. She wanted help. Do you know what her husband was doing?”
“Bathing? Sleeping? Working? “, Gabriel kept guessing on the various options.
“Nope.. He was playing. He was playing in his smart phone some stupid silly video game and his ears were deafened with headsets “sighed Raphael
“What happened then? What about the other family? “, asked Gabriel.
“That daughter was in 12th grade. I saw her studying. Her dad came and sat next to her and said, “I saw few kids selling toys on trains without anyone to take care of them. My heart was melted… We are not alone dear. I have you for me and you do have me to look upon always.. “
“What did the girl reply??? “, Gabriel was curious to know.
“OK dad. “, said Raphael.
“Are you kidding me bro??? Was that her reply?? “, Gabriel became furious.
“Yes!. And she had a mob phone inside her book and texted someone “Dad went to sleep. Can text freely”, fumed Raphael,” And I saw his dad going to sleep thinking that she is busy studying. I could not see the sadness in his face. It was disappointment. It was loneliness. It was love. It was trust. He had trust and went to sleep”.
“Relax bro. People are the same everywhere”, comforted Gabriel.
“That wife prepared dinner amidst all her difficulties and brought it to the dining table. Her husband took a picture of it and uploaded in Facebook saying “My beautiful wife made this beautiful dinner” . I don’t understand bro. How can a person never speak with each other but just publicize as if they are intimate and happy?? “, doubted Raphael, “ And just click poses as if they kiss each other when in reality they do not even spare time for each other.?”
“Next day morning when that husband woke up yelling for his coffee, I saw a note lying on the same dining table where they had dinner. It said “Thanks for everything”.
And that daughter’s dad was in coma in ICU and I saw her crying, stating the same words,“I have you for me and you do have me to look upon always”
“Bro..! Wait! Where are you leaving?? Are you gonna punish them both??” questioned Gabriel.
“Why should I punish them? They’ve got their punishments already.. “,said Raphael and flew back to heaven.
